About the position

The SMB Account Manager for the South Central Region at Sealed Air is responsible for driving sales growth within a designated geographical area. This role focuses on prospecting new customers while maintaining and expanding existing customer relationships. The Account Manager utilizes a knowledge-based selling approach to understand customer needs and deliver tailored packaging solutions, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth through a knowledge-based selling approach by understanding customer needs and leveraging product knowledge.
  • Develop a consultative approach to quickly transition customers from prospects to problem-solving dialogues.
  • Create and implement a sales, profitability, and growth plan for the assigned geography.
  • Maintain customer accounts by establishing relationships and addressing problem resolution efficiently.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to improve account profitability and manage margins.
  • Complete key administrative tasks including pricing, CRM reporting, and budgeting.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree; MBA or MS is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in outside sales.
  • 3+ years of experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to travel overnight.
  • Proficient in CRM systems.
