About the position

The SME-React Developer Journeyman position at the Child and Family Services Agency (CFSA) involves developing a new application for the agency as part of a DevOps team. The role requires a subject matter expert in React with extensive experience in enterprise-level development projects. The developer will be responsible for designing, coding, unit testing, and troubleshooting customized solutions using React, Next.js, and Node.js, while collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of a comprehensive child welfare information system.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop customized solutions using React.
• Conduct unit testing and troubleshoot applications.
• Participate in meetings to understand complex business requirements.
• Create functional requirements and design for customizations.
• Estimate level of effort for implementation tasks accurately.
• Review proposed implementations and identify efficient designs.
• Collaborate with Delivery architects and Technical Leads to ensure security profiles meet agency needs.
• Perform code reviews with team members.

Requirements

• 6-10 years of experience as a SME/Developer in complex enterprise-level projects.
• 4+ years of experience implementing, developing, supporting, and maintaining React applications.
• At least 2 years of experience with Next.js and Node.js.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and oral English communication and presentation skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Typescript.
• Experience with cloud hosting services such as Azure or AWS.
