About the position

The SMT Line Operator position is an entry-level role focused on operating and maintaining Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment for the assembly and production of electronic circuit boards. The operator will be responsible for ensuring high-quality output through various tasks including machine setup, component loading, production monitoring, and routine maintenance of equipment.

Responsibilities

• Setting up and calibrating SMT equipment for production runs.
• Loading components onto the feeders of the pick-and-place machine.
• Monitoring the production process to ensure smooth operation and high-quality output.
• Inspecting assembled circuit boards for defects and verifying conformance to quality standards.
• Performing routine maintenance and cleaning of SMT equipment.
• Recording production data, equipment settings, and maintenance activities.
• Keeping the work area clean and organized, following safety and 5S principles.

Requirements

• Experience with SMT machines.
• Experience in inspecting boards after reflow by following IPC-610 requirements.
• Ability to set up machines, including machine adjustments and feeder loading per manufacturing instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Experience in setting up solder paste printers and reflow ovens.
• Previous experience in an SMT manufacturing facility.
