About the position
The SMTS - Test Engineer - Data Protection role at Nutanix involves leading a team of engineers to conduct end-to-end system testing for complex disaster recovery features. The position requires a proactive and detail-oriented QA Engineer with extensive experience in testing enterprise-level software, particularly in hybrid cloud infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end system testing for complex Disaster recovery features.
- Lead a team of 3-4 engineers.
- Design and build complex test beds and tools.
- Create and automate detailed system test plans.
- Identify and analyze bugs, finding root causes of failures.
- Work closely with partner teams like Dev, Product management and support.
- Mentor Junior Engineers.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software QA engineering experience
- Experience in Python/Perl/C/C++/Java
- Ability to debug and extend automated tests
- Skills in debugging complex distributed applications
- Experience in test plan design and development
- Experience testing a 'systems' product
- Strong fundamentals in OOP, algorithms, data structures, and problem-solving
- Experience in enterprise networking and virtualization concepts.
