About the position

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a product Compliance Analyst to enhance compliance solutions and strategic projects that support AWS Infrastructure. In this role, you will utilize your product compliance expertise to manage daily compliance operations, ensuring that AWS's unique hardware, devices, and equipment meet regulatory requirements across various countries. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities to simplify and automate compliance processes, thereby scaling compliance programs effectively. As a Compliance Analyst, you will be the first point of contact for downstream teams, addressing product compliance inquiries with speed and accuracy, leveraging your industry knowledge and available tools. Your responsibilities will include building and implementing systems and processes that align AWS products with regulatory requirements, translating regulatory intelligence into actionable business operations, and driving the development of infrastructure product compliance programs and tools. You will also manage compliance operations, including analyzing product compliance issues and making high-judgment decisions. Additionally, you will be tasked with procuring, analyzing, and reporting on operational metrics, as well as overseeing change management and continuous process improvement initiatives. AWS is a dynamic and rapidly growing business within Amazon.com, offering a broad set of global cloud-based services. The Compliance Analyst will work within the Global Trade and Product Compliance (GTPC) team, which is responsible for ensuring compliant import and export of infrastructure equipment necessary for AWS services. Responsibilities

• Build and implement systems and processes to align AWS products and equipment to regulatory requirements.
• Translate regulatory intelligence to business operations.
• Drive and scale infrastructure product compliance programs and tools; identify and recommend opportunities for simplification and automation.
• Daily use of custom software, maximizing its utility through an in-depth understanding of system interdependencies and how to work across various tools successfully.
• Manage compliance operations, such as intaking and analyzing product compliance issues, managing product compliance escalations, and making quick, high-judgement decisions.
• Procure, analyze, and report on operational metrics according to the rhythm of the business.
• Develop and oversee change management and continuous process improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution in supply chain, marketing, or operation.
• 6+ years of direct experience with program/project management, including technical delivery.
• 6+ years of direct experience with import/export/product compliance, global logistics or supply chain.
• 6+ years' experience implementing and leveraging technology/data to drive process improvements and automation.
