About the position
The Food Service Team Member at BJ's Wholesale Club is responsible for preparing and serving food in the snack shop, processing register transactions, and providing excellent customer service to members. This role emphasizes maintaining a clean work environment, adhering to safety and sanitation procedures, and supporting club policies and procedures. Team members are expected to work collaboratively to deliver outstanding service and uphold the club's standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and serves food in the snack shop.
- Processes register transactions for snack shop items.
- Greets members and recommends food products for sale.
- Maintains a clean work environment by following company safety and sanitation procedures.
- Carries out job functions and responsibilities as assigned.
- Supports the application of club policies, procedures, and compliance.
- Acts with honesty and integrity to address member concerns.
- Ensures a safe and positive environment for members and team members.
- Embraces inclusion and diversity by collaborating with respect.
- Delivers service excellence through all points of contact.
- Resolves and deescalates member concerns.
- Maintains visible accurate signage and cleanliness in the club.
- Understands and reads production and financial performance reporting.
Requirements
- Food service experience preferred.
- Prior experience working in a customer service environment preferred.
- At least 16 years of age.
