About the position
The Sniper Instructor position at Camp Pendleton, CA, is a full-time role supporting the I MEF Expeditionary Operations Training Group (G-7). The instructor will provide training, evaluation, and certification to deploying Marine Expeditionary Units, leveraging their expertise in sniping operations. This role involves conducting formal classes, live fire instruction, and assisting in the development and execution of training courses and exercises.
Responsibilities
- Provide instruction in a formal Sniper Course.
- Conduct live fire instruction and formal classes.
- Assist in the development and execution of training courses and exercises.
- Serve as instructor/evaluator during pre-deployment certification exercises.
- Conduct periodic off-base site surveys and attend various sustainment training when available.
Requirements
- USMC MOS: 0317, 0321, 0372; or Army Special Forces (18 series) with sniper qualification.
- Secret clearance (or capable of gaining one).
- USMC Sergeants course or higher; or service equivalent.
- USMC Basic Instructor Course or higher; or service equivalent.
- Knowledge of commercially procured computer applications (e.g., Outlook, Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.).
- Physical capability to perform all tasks associated with EOTG instruction.
