About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Snow Plow Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently clearing snow and ice from roads, parking lots, and other designated areas to ensure safe passage for vehicles and pedestrians. This role requires a strong understanding of snow plowing techniques, as well as the ability to operate various types of equipment safely and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operate snow plow trucks and other equipment to remove snow and ice from roadways, parking lots, and sidewalks.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including checking fluid levels and ensuring all systems are functioning properly.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools for snow removal and related tasks as necessary.
• Conduct groundskeeping activities such as tree trimming, landscape maintenance, and hardscape installation when not engaged in snow removal.
• Dig out areas as needed to facilitate effective snow removal operations.
• Maintain clear communication with team members regarding weather conditions and operational status.
• Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Requirements

• Proven experience in snow plowing for 1 year.
• Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices is a plus.
• Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain high standards of work quality.
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
• Ability to work flexible hours during winter storms, including nights and weekends as needed.
