About the position

The Snowflake Data Architect at Brillio is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing data solutions that align with business objectives, leveraging Snowflake and AWS cloud services. This role requires a strong background in data warehousing and cloud-based Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) solutions, with a focus on optimizing data pipelines and storage solutions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data modeling, ETL processes, and Snowflake features, ensuring best practices in security, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and architecture of Snowflake-based data warehouse solutions on AWS.
  • Develop and implement data models using Snowflake, leveraging Snowpipe for automated data ingestion.
  • Utilize AWS services to design and optimize data pipelines and storage solutions within the Snowflake environment.
  • Manage ETL tools, preferably Matillion, to streamline data integration processes.
  • Ensure Snowflake implementations adhere to best practices in security, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
  • Continuously update and refine modeling principles and solutions to align with evolving business needs.
  • Lead the development of project requirements for end-to-end data integration processes.

Requirements

  • 10 years of industry experience with a focus on Data Warehousing.
  • Minimum of 4 years working with Snowflake.
  • Extensive experience with AWS cloud services, including S3, Lambda, Redshift, Glue.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of relational and NoSQL data stores, including star and snowflake schemas.
  • Experience in designing and building data pipelines using Snowpipe.
  • Proficiency in SnowSQL for developing stored procedures and writing queries.

Nice-to-haves

  • Hands-on experience with ETL tools, preferably Matillion.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
