About The Position

CTG is seeking a highly skilled Snowflake Data Engineer to support our client’s modern cloud data initiatives. This role will focus on building and optimizing scalable data pipelines, enhancing Snowflake performance, and supporting enterprise data integration efforts within Azure and Snowflake ecosystems.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in Data Engineering
Strong expertise with Snowflake, including: SQL scripting, Data loading/unloading, Snowpipe, Performance tuning and optimization
Advanced SQL development skills
Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, and data modeling concepts
Experience building and managing enterprise data pipelines
Experience with schema design and backend database development
Familiarity with Azure cloud environments and Snowflake ecosystem
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and debugging capabilities
Experience working in Agile environments

Nice To Haves

Experience with Matillion or similar ETL tools
Utilities or billing systems industry experience

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines in Snowflake
Build and optimize SQL scripts, stored procedures, and data transformation workflows
Implement and support Snowpipe-based ingestion processes
Perform Snowflake performance tuning, query optimization, and warehouse management
Design and maintain data models, schemas, and backend database structures
Support cloud-based data integration and ingestion processes
Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver data-driven solutions
Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline and performance issues
Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning and standups
