About the position

The Snowflake Database Administrator is responsible for architecting and developing scalable data applications, managing Snowflake database setups, and ensuring data governance and security. This role requires extensive experience in data engineering and collaboration with various business and technology teams to implement best practices in data management and analytics.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop end-to-end scalable data applications using Snowflake.
• Set up and administer Snowflake databases, including ERWIN modeling and enterprise data warehouse solutions.
• Implement data governance and security measures, including monitoring unauthorized data access.
• Onboard new data tools and integrate Snowflake with various BI and analytical tools.
• Manage compute and storage resources, applying best practices for schema and table creation.
• Evaluate load operations and performance of data applications.
• Collaborate with business, technology, and data teams to enhance data solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or a technology-related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8 years of experience in Data Engineering, BI Engineering, or related fields.
• 8 years of experience with Snowflake database setup and administration.
• 8 years of experience in data governance and security practices.
• 6 years of experience onboarding new data tools and integrating Snowflake with other technologies.
• 8 years of experience managing compute and storage in data applications.
• 6 years of working knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, S3 datalake, and AWS cloud technologies.
• 6 years of experience in agile methodologies and data engineering best practices.

Nice-to-haves

• Snowflake SnowPro Advanced Architect Certification.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) Solution Architect or Certified Data Analytics.
