Remote - San Jose, CA

About the position

The Snowflake Developer position is a fully remote role based in San Jose, California, focusing on the development and management of data within the Snowflake environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, specifically with Snowflake, and will be responsible for creating and managing data warehouse structures. This role requires a deep understanding of ETL processes, as the developer will be tasked with extracting, transforming, and loading data into visualization tools. The position is designed for someone who is not only technically proficient but also capable of working independently in a remote setting. In this role, the developer will spend a significant portion of their time creating table structures and star schemas within Snowflake, ensuring that the data is organized and accessible for analysis. The other half of the job will involve working with ETL processes, where the developer will extract data from existing warehouse systems, translate it into a usable format, and load it into visualization tools for reporting and analysis. This dual focus on both data creation and ETL processes makes this position critical for the overall data strategy of the organization. The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate expertise in using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) as this will be the primary tool used for the ETL processes. The ability to work with large datasets and optimize data flows will be essential for success in this role. Additionally, familiarity with Oracle Cloud is considered a valuable asset, although it is not a mandatory requirement for the position.
