About the position

The Snowflake Developer position involves working with various cloud technologies and big data tools to design, develop, and implement data solutions. The role requires expertise in Snowflake and AWS, along with experience in data analysis and the ability to work within an Agile framework. The developer will be responsible for executing tests, analyzing data, and ensuring that solutions meet customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute tests to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Collect and analyze data to identify defects and implement fixes.
• Understand the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and create relevant documentation.
• Track and report impediments during project execution.
• Work on cloud implementations within the AWS ecosystem, including S3 and EC2.
• Utilize Hadoop ecosystem tools such as Hive, HBase, and Pig for data processing.
• Collaborate in Agile and Scrum environments, using tools like Confluence.

Requirements

• Experience with Snowflake and AWS cloud services.
• Proficiency in Scala and data analysis techniques.
• Familiarity with big data tools such as Airflow and NiFi.
• Good knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem and its tools.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and SQL.
• Experience in the travel and tourism domain is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Exposure to Delta Lake will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Kafka and its integration with Snowflake.
