About the position

The Snowflake Developer position at Diverse Lynx LLC is a critical role that requires a deep understanding of SQL language and cloud-based technologies, particularly the Snowflake Platform Architecture. The ideal candidate will possess profound knowledge and hands-on experience with Snowflake, enabling them to design and implement features for identity and access management, as well as optimize client queries with a focus on security competencies such as encryption. This role involves solving performance and scalability issues within the system, ensuring that the data architecture is robust and efficient. In this position, the developer will be responsible for SQL query performance tuning, utilizing tools such as Query Profiler, and understanding micro-partition pruning, data spilling, and execution plans. The candidate will also work on productionized data ingestion and processing pipelines using Snow SQL, applying data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and metadata management to create, test, and implement enterprise-level applications with Snowflake. Additionally, experience in integrating Snowflake with other data processing and reporting technologies, such as SSRS and Tableau, is highly desirable. The role requires a strong understanding of CI/CD workflows, unit testing, integration testing, and deployment patterns. Effective documentation of design solutions is essential, as is familiarity with tools like Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence, GIT, and Flyway. Experience with Azure cloud services, particularly Azure SQL MI and ADF, in the context of database and data management, is a plus. This position is based in San Ramon, CA, and is an on-site role, emphasizing collaboration and direct engagement with the team.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement features for identity and access management.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in T-SQL stored procedures and complex query development.
  • Strong ability in documenting design solutions effectively.
  • Familiarity with tools including Jira, ServiceNow, Confluence, GIT, and Flyway.
  • Experience in Azure cloud services including Azure SQL MI and ADF.
