About the position

The Snowflake Developer role involves designing and developing data warehouse solutions using Snowflake, focusing on scalability, reliability, and performance. The position requires collaboration with cloud architects to integrate Snowflake with other cloud services, as well as optimizing configurations and implementing data security policies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and design the architecture of data warehouse solutions using Snowflake.
  • Create and maintain logical and physical data models for Snowflake.
  • Design and implement ETL/ELT processes and frameworks for data ingestion, transformation, and storage in Snowflake.
  • Collaborate with cloud architects and engineers to integrate Snowflake with other cloud services and platforms.
  • Optimize Snowflake configurations, queries, and data loading processes for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Implement data security and governance policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues within Snowflake environments, including query performance, data integrity, and access issues.
  • Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation for architecture, design, and operational processes.

Requirements

  • Experience in developing and designing data warehouse solutions using Snowflake.
  • Proficiency in creating and maintaining logical and physical data models for Snowflake.
  • Strong knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and frameworks for data management.
  • Experience collaborating with cloud architects and engineers for integration with cloud services.
  • Ability to optimize Snowflake configurations and queries for performance and cost efficiency.
  • Knowledge of data security and governance policies in compliance with industry standards.
  • Experience in diagnosing and resolving issues within Snowflake environments.
  • Proficient coding experience with Snowpark, Python, PySpark, and Snowflake stored procedures.
