About the position

The Snowflake Enablement Engineer II role is part of the Data Platform team at Centene, focusing on establishing a platform enablement team for the Enterprise Datahub. This position involves collaborating with IT and business teams to facilitate onboarding and enhance their understanding of analytics platforms through tailored training and support. The engineer will develop enablement resources, streamline processes, and ensure a seamless customer experience while continuously improving the platform based on user feedback.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with IT and business teams to guide them through onboarding and training on analytics platforms.
  • Develop and deliver enablement programs that drive adoption and effective utilization of the Enterprise Datahub.
  • Create high-quality enablement resources such as tutorials, how-to guides, and FAQs tailored to different data consumers.
  • Proactively identify and address knowledge gaps among data consumers and provide ongoing support for data onboarding and integration.
  • Gather and analyze feedback from data consumers to improve the Enterprise Datahub platform and its enablement programs.
  • Collaborate with platform and application teams to identify and resolve roadblocks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science).
  • 2 - 4 years of related experience or equivalent experience reflecting the level of this position.
  • Understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies, preferably with experience in AWS.
  • Experience in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, SQL) for automating tasks and data analysis.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., CloudFormation, Terraform, GitLab) for managing and deploying cloud resources.
  • Experience with data warehousing and data lake concepts, and familiarity with new age data analytics platforms (Snowflake).

Nice-to-haves

  • Intermediate knowledge in area of specialty.
  • Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
