About the position
The Senior Credit Analyst position at Worldpay involves performing thorough financial analysis on prospective and current merchants to assess credit risk. This role is part of the Legal, Risk & Compliance team, focusing on reviewing larger credit risk exposure accounts and collaborating with various internal and external partners to mitigate risk while supporting growth objectives. The position requires a hybrid work model, with 2-3 days in the office, and emphasizes effective communication and sound judgment in assessing potential risks.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and spread company financial statements, making adjustments as needed.
- Perform extensive analysis on a variety of financial statements and provide recommendations and assessments of credit profiles.
- Evaluate complex issues, considering and prioritizing various factors.
- Establish appropriate credit limits and collateral to minimize risk.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
- Exercise sound judgment in assessing potential regulatory and reputational risks.
- Monitor and communicate credit concerns to management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience analyzing and spreading financial statements.
- Extensive experience performing credit analysis and drafting credit memos.
- Effective communication skills and attention to detail.
- Strong work ethic and sense of ownership.
- Ability to creatively solve problems and achieve company objectives.
- Time management and flexibility.
