About the position

Data Engineer to design data ingestions and oversee engineers to ensure that right data pipeline is implemented for Treasury metrics. Take an active role and work with team on optimize system performance, availability, security as well as leverage, re-use and solve for technical problems when they arise. Ensure governance & reduce time to market by embracing automation ADO Devops/CICD. Work towards Improving the system architecture by tracking emerging technologies, tool-stacks. Collaborate with Solution architects, Business Analysts, Application Architects & Testers to implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply the data quality management platform strategic architecture design principles and standards, adopt bank wide strategic initiatives like cloud, technology policy and standards.
• Accountable to ensure the required data quality management business intelligence layer parameters are set to meet the business user's needs.
• Design user-friendly dashboards with high performing and accurate output to meet functional / non-functional business requirements.
• Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc.
• Build the appropriate culture and values to be a role model.
• Acquire new skills to keep the system up to date and to align with bank wide new initiatives.
• Proactively manage the risks and come up with mitigation plans if required.
• Adhere to bank's policy and complete mandatory training courses to keep you up to date on the latest developments.
• Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
• Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank.
• Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
