About the position
The Sr. Manager, Product Development IT SME at Tenneco is a pivotal role responsible for leading the development and implementation of IT solutions that enhance product development initiatives. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of product development processes and IT project management, overseeing a team of IT professionals to ensure high-quality solutions that align with business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning and execution of IT projects that support product development.
- Leverage IT solutions to support product development processes, including PLM systems and CAD systems.
- Manage a team of IT professionals, providing guidance and mentorship.
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of IT projects related to product development.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and design solutions.
- Ensure that all IT solutions meet the highest standards of quality and performance.
- Promote the use of innovative technologies within the organization.
- Develop comprehensive documentation and training materials for end-users and technical teams.
- Manage relationships with external vendors and consultants.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering/Manufacturing technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT project management, focusing on product development processes.
- Proficiency with PLM systems and CAD systems (CATIA, NX, Autodesk).
- Strong project management skills with experience in custom application development projects.
- Proven experience managing and leading a team of developers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Relevant certifications in IT project management or product development.
