About the position

The A1 position at SNY involves collaborating with technical and news staff to meet production needs for live, taped, and automated programming. The role requires proficiency in audio production systems and the ability to maintain high-quality audio standards in a fast-paced studio environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technical and news staff to meet production needs for live, taped, and automated programming.
• Establish sound production practices for the delivery of content within sports, news, and topical programming.
• Gain proficiency in operation and maintenance of production audio systems, including audio consoles and intercom systems.
• Perform daily setup operations and monitor audio levels across multiple studios.
• Maintain the integrity of all audio and support equipment, notifying management of repair needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Communications or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of two (2) years of related A1 experience in live, multi-camera studio production.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. and setup/strike studio gear.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SSL audio boards, RTS intercom systems, and ENCO audio servers.
• Knowledge of RTS Adam Edit communication system configuration.
• Familiarity with RF and wired microphones, IFB, and PL systems.
• Proficiency in iNEWS or similar newsroom computer system.
