About the position

The SoC Hardware Validation Engineer will be part of the Silicon, Cloud Hardware, and Infrastructure Engineering (SCHIE) team, which is responsible for powering the "Intelligent Cloud" mission. This team delivers the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for over 200 online businesses, including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Teams, OneDrive, and the Azure platform globally. The focus is on smart growth, high efficiency, and delivering a trusted experience to customers and partners worldwide. The role is crucial in achieving the goal of deploying new offerings and hardware infrastructure on time, in high volume, with high quality and lower cost. The Hardware, Infrastructure Management, and Fundamental Engineering (HIFE) team plays a vital role in defining and delivering operational measures of success for hardware manufacturing, improving planning processes, quality, delivery, scale, and sustainability related to cloud hardware. As a SoC Hardware Validation Engineer, you will be responsible for post-silicon validation, which includes functional, electrical, and power/performance aspects of custom silicon projects. This new team will be involved in numerous projects, delivering cutting-edge, custom SoC designs that perform complex and high-performance functions efficiently. You will own the post-silicon validation of specific areas, define and contribute to the implementation of silicon debug tools and capabilities, and become knowledgeable about the overall architecture and implementation of complex features and their interactions with other parts of the SoC and software. You will also provide technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers, develop validation strategies, requirements, environments, tools, and methodologies, and engage with partners to drive continuous improvement in design and validation processes. The mission of the company is to empower every person and organization on the planet to achieve more. Employees are encouraged to come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize shared goals. The company values respect, integrity, and accountability, creating a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
