About the position

The role involves being part of a hands-on development team at Apple, focusing on SoC design and machine learning efforts. The engineer will craft and implement methodologies and solutions that significantly impact upcoming products, enhancing productivity and optimizations across various SoC design functions. Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal multi-functional teams to improve productivity and optimizations in SoC design.
• Develop generative AI and machine learning solutions for RTL Design, Verification, and Power/Performance/Area efforts.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies in machine learning and chip design to ensure state-of-the-art solutions.
• Utilize expertise in machine learning to optimize the chip-design process for efficiency, quality, and speed.

Requirements

• Practical experience and knowledge of generative AI and modern machine learning methods, particularly deep neural networks and reinforcement learning.
• Solid math background and understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Experience with current deep learning frameworks, such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, JAX, or MLX.
• Experience with hardware description languages like Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work efficiently in cross-functional teams.
• Minimum of BS + 10 years relevant industry experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's or PhD with relevant publications preferred but not required.
• Prior leadership experience.
