About the position

SLAIT Consulting is seeking a Software Scripting Developer specializing in PowerShell for a contract position. The role involves technical duties related to scripting and development for interconnects in REST APIs, API design, and usage patterns, primarily using JAVA and Python. The position is heavily focused on a vCloud setting within VMware, requiring solution construction, troubleshooting, planning, and implementation of internal calls and interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Provide solutions involving servers and applications
• Understand multiple operating server system environments
• Design and implement scripting for enterprise environments
• Participate in on-call duty, which may require evening and weekend work

Requirements

• 3+ years of IT experience
• Experience with Java
• Experience with PowerShell
• Experience with API design and usage patterns
• Experience with REST APIs
• Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript
• Experience with VMware vCloud environment
• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Relational Databases (SQL, Oracle, etc.)
• Self-motivated and directed with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks
• Experience migrating older server technologies to newer standards
• Ability to participate in a 24x7 on-call duty rotation
