About the position

Are you an experienced addiction recovery professional (or professional in a related field), interested in a unique opportunity to make a difference in Lowell, Massachusetts? Our organization's mission is to be a catalyst for recovery-focused sober living communities. We believe access to positive communities for men and women in recovery will save lives, rebuild families, and greatly improve society. Our organization supports and provides resources to sober living home operators and maintains an active membership organization for independent sober living operators. Our team is creative, energetic, and united in dedication to the addiction recovery cause. In short, we love the work we do. This important and exciting role is responsible for helping develop an independent sober living organization in Lowell, Massachusetts through outreach and community development in an independently owned and operated sober living home community. Candidates should be prepared to build and run a sober living home, affiliated with Vanderburgh Sober Living, serving residents in the community. This opportunity is perfect for professionals in the field of recovery, human services, or mental health - someone who craves more independence and autonomy to build and run a program to truly fit the needs of men in recovery in Lowell, Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

  • Connect with community organizations to build a referral base to support residents in your sober living home
  • Engage with residents in the home to offer support and guidance
  • Build and manage the environment in your home to ensure resident and organizational success

Requirements

  • High energy and positive attitude
  • Ability to effectively lead meetings and presentations
  • Very strong communication skills including written, verbal, face-to-face, and presentation format
  • Strong follow-through ability, organization, and attention to detail in scheduling, follow-up, etc.
  • Ability to network, build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines, often with competing priorities and in high-pressure situations
  • Organized; ability to multi-task and handle multiple deadlines simultaneously

Nice-to-haves

  • Network and experience in the field of addiction recovery and human services
  • Experience in outreach, business development, networking, sales, or another similar field
  • Positive, innovative, and adaptable attitude
