About the position

The SoC Architect role at Intel Federal LLC is a senior leadership position focused on developing and productizing enhanced and custom semiconductor products for the US Federal Government. The role involves collaborating with various teams to define solutions that meet customer mission needs, overseeing the architecture and design of System on Chip (SoC) products, and mentoring engineers within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Meet with current and prospective customers to understand their mission goals and develop solutions.
• Develop architectural definition of upcoming products to include IP, Fabric and SOC architectures.
• Oversee definition, design, verification, and documentation for SoC development.
• Contribute to the micro-architectural features and specifications.
• Define module interfaces and formats for simulation.
• Perform RTL logic design and simulation for functional units, subsystems, and SoC full chip designs.
• Balance design trade-offs with modularity, scalability, DFX requirements, chassis compliance, power, area, and performance.
• Drive inter-organization collaboration, provide technical guidance, and mentor engineers.
• Utilize excellent written and verbal communications skills to collaborate internally across Intel and with external customers.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in solutions engineering and product/SOC architecture.
• Strong background in SOC and IP microarchitecture.
• Proven ability to oversee design and verification processes for SoC development.
• Experience in RTL logic design and simulation.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with defense industrial base (DIB) and systems integrator (SI) ecosystems.
• Familiarity with customer mission needs in the federal market.
• Leadership experience in engineering teams.
