About the position

The Soc/Clin Research Assistant - Advanced position at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is designed for an individual to serve as an Associate Clinical Research Coordinator within the Center for Gastrointestinal Biology and Disease. The role focuses on executing clinical research protocols, leading data gathering, compiling, and reporting for various research studies, while ensuring adherence to research principles and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Execute clinical research protocols effectively.
  • Lead efforts in gathering, compiling, and reporting data for research studies.
  • Organize, collect, record, and present data within defined research parameters.
  • Ensure quality control of data collected and summarize findings accurately.
  • Communicate research information effectively with the Principal Investigator and team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Knowledge of research principles and methods of data entry, collection, and analysis.
  • Familiarity with IRB submissions, renewals, and modifications.
  • Understanding of the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

Nice-to-haves

  • Well organized with good time management skills.
  • Previous experience with UNC, IRB, and EPIC.
  • Ability to contribute to the preparation of publications and reports.
