The Soc/Clin Research Assistant position at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill involves serving as an Associate Clinical Research Coordinator within the Center for Gastrointestinal Biology and Disease. The role focuses on executing clinical research protocols, gathering, compiling, and reporting data for various research studies, and ensuring compliance with research standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Execute clinical research protocols effectively.
  • Gather, compile, and report data for research studies.
  • Ensure compliance with IRB submissions, renewals, and modifications.
  • Organize, collect, record, and present data within defined research parameters.
  • Ensure quality control of data collected and summarize findings.
  • Communicate research information effectively with the Principal Investigator and team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Knowledge of research principles and methods of data entry, collection, and analysis.
  • Familiarity with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

Nice-to-haves

  • Well organized with good time management skills.
  • Previous experience with UNC, IRB, and EPIC.
  • Ability to contribute to the preparation of publications and reports.
