About the position

The SOC Cybersecurity Analyst at Cyber Guardian Threat Solutions LLC is responsible for performing forensic analysis, identifying network intrusions, and mitigating cybersecurity threats. This role requires collaboration with clients and senior staff, effective communication of technical information, and the ability to work independently while contributing to team efforts. The analyst will utilize various cyber defense tools to analyze events, report anomalies, and ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform forensic analysis of digital information and gather and handle evidence.
• Identify network computer intrusion evidence and perpetrators.
• Use data collected from cyber defense tools to analyze events for threat mitigation.
• Interpret, analyze, and report all events and anomalies in accordance with network directives.
• Evaluate, test, recommend, coordinate, monitor, and maintain cybersecurity policies and systems.
• Ensure cybersecurity plans and procedures align with standards.
• Identify security risks and exposures, determine causes of violations, and suggest improvements.
• Develop techniques for conducting cybersecurity risk assessments and compliance audits.
• Correlate data feeds and logs to analyze known threats and incidents.
• Provide guidance to junior-level staff and may serve as team lead.
• Conduct reviews of cybersecurity information papers with various government agencies.
• Assist in enforcing the DoD Cyberspace Workforce Framework and certification program.
• Examine security architecture and vulnerabilities of systems through various assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in cybersecurity, information assurance, computer science, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or computer science.
• CompTIA CySA+, CEH, or GCIH certification required.
• Secret security clearance required.
• Strong customer service experience, especially with military and government leadership.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Familiarity with DoD 2875 account request processes.
• Experience with ACTCS training system.
