About the position

The Nexplore Instructor is a part-time role focused on delivering high-quality, in-person instruction in STEM, Art, Life Skills, and Fitness to students in grades PreK-12. The position emphasizes fostering a joy of learning through engaging and meaningful educational experiences, while adhering to provided lesson plans and site expectations. The instructor will report to a Program Success Manager and is expected to participate in family engagement efforts.

Responsibilities

• Follow a provided schedule, arrive on time and prepared to teach, and maintain compliance with site expectations.
• Deliver meaningful, standard-aligned instruction that cultivates critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Engage in professional, responsive communication with the Program Success Manager and site personnel.
• Deliver inspiring instruction from Nexplore's collection of programs, administering accommodations and extensions as relevant.
• Participate in family engagement efforts and empower children to engage in Nexplore programs.

Requirements

• AA Degree (or higher)
• 2+ years teaching/instructing experience (preferred)
• Experience working with children
• Educational development or training experience
• Teaching degree or certificate is a plus
• Reliable transportation
• Willing to complete mandatory training
• Willing to complete a background check and fingerprints.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in teaching
• First Aid Certification
