About the position
The Soccer Coach for Summer 2025 at IMG Academy is responsible for training and coaching student-athletes, focusing on their skill development and psychological preparation. This role involves creating and implementing training programs, assessing athlete performance, and collaborating with parents and other departments to ensure comprehensive development. The coach will also assist with game day operations and maintain safety standards during practices and games.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and implements a soccer training program for all Student Athletes
- Assesses the performance and skill development of each Student Athlete and partners with the appropriate department for their continued development
- Helps with the psychological preparation of the Student Athlete
- Develops a motivational approach to practice and games
- Assists in Game Day operations
- Works to develop comprehensive knowledge of soccer in decision-making, handling authority and setting and meeting objectives
- Assists with pick up and distribution of uniforms pre and post-game
- Interacts with the Student Athlete as an educator of the sport and mentor
- Partners with the Student Athlete's parent/guardian regarding their overall development
- Communicates effectively to Student Athletes
- Ensures proper safety is maintained
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
- Performs other duties as assigned to include pre practice and pre game preparation
Requirements
- Experience coaching and/or playing soccer
- Skills in training and instructing soccer
- Strong commitment to Student Athletes
- Desire to work collaboratively with colleagues
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice-to-haves

- CPR Certification
