About the position

Our client, a telecommunications company, is looking for a Social Content Creator/Writer (Bilingual preferred) to join the team on a freelance basis. This position is fully remote and requires a commitment of 20-25 hours per week. The ideal candidate must be available to work within the CST or EST timezones and attend one weekly status call. As a Social Content Creator/Writer, you will report directly to the Social Media Manager and be responsible for preparing social media copy and creating engagement-first creative content tailored to various digital channels, including YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and the company website. In this role, you will be expected to take base themes and transform them into educational and engaging content that is versioned for multiple digital platforms. The ideal candidate should possess versatility in writing, creative thinking, and light photo and video editing skills. You will collaborate with the Social Media and Content Marketing teams on dynamic content planning, editing, and execution of cross-channel content. The themes you will work on may include brand promotion, entertainment and streaming, products and services, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DE&I), and community engagement. Additionally, you will be responsible for editing photos and videos to meet social media and web specifications, implementing established brand templates, and outlining and curating web page content that aligns with the social media editorial calendar and established brand guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Work with Social Media and Content Marketing teams on dynamic content planning, editing, and execution of cross-channel content.
• Edit photos and videos to social media and web specifications, as required.
• Implement established brand templates, as applicable.
• Outline and curate web page content aligned with the social media editorial and established brand calendar.

Requirements

• 2+ years experience as a writer in journalism, web, and/or social media writing, communications/PR.
• Minimum 2 years experience in preparing copy and visual content for the web and/or social media for a brand.
• Experience in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or comparable programs.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to independently manage time across multiple work streams.
• Experience in interpreting and following established brand guidelines.
• Fluent in Spanish preferred.
