The Social Creative Director will elevate the brand's active social presence to the next level. Working collaboratively with an in-house team and external partners, the Social Creative Director's mission is to create social content that makes people stop scrolling and start engaging. This leader will balance ideation and execution with the mentorship and management of the team, encouraging them to challenge themselves, expand their social ideas, and maintain an inspired outlook amidst a high volume of content creation. The role requires identifying insights, trends, and opportunities to elevate social content, collaborating with various teams on social content pillars, and contributing to monthly content calendars across all brand channels and social platforms. The Social Creative Director will lead the creative ideation, content capture, and editing of brand activations to keep the brand at the center of pop culture, conceptualizing and creating big ideas to generate viral moments. Additionally, this position involves conducting one-on-one meetings and regular check-ins with team members to ensure their development, support, and well-being, while providing active mentorship and supporting the development of the Social Creative team.

Responsibilities

  • Elevate the brand's active social presence.
  • Create social content that engages audiences.
  • Collaborate with the Social, Brand, and Creative teams on social content pillars.
  • Contribute to monthly content calendars across all brand channels and social platforms.
  • Lead the creative ideation, content capture, and editing of brand activations.
  • Conceptualize and create big ideas to generate viral moments.
  • Work collaboratively with the Social team and Creative Directors to ensure strong campaign connections.
  • Conduct one-on-one meetings and regular check-ins with team members for their development and support.
  • Provide mentorship and support for the Social Creative team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in a social content role within an agency environment.
  • Hands-on experience from concepting to production.
  • Compelling online portfolio demonstrating creative versatility and superb design execution.
  • Deep understanding of social platforms and their creative formats.
  • Experience in creating social activations based on cultural moments.
  • Experience in executing large scale earned social media stunts and campaigns.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Extreme attention to detail and understanding of design principles.
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to respond to creative direction and feedback.
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro).
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-driven, flexible, and energetic with strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
  • A degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field is required.
