About the position

The Social Impact & Community Engagement Manager at Green Thumb will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that integrate social impact and community engagement initiatives within the organization. This role focuses on collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to enhance awareness and participation in social impact programs, ensuring measurable outcomes and compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Social Impact and Community Engagement priorities, processes, and partners (external and internal).
  • Build and maintain relationships with organizations aligned with Social Impact program goals.
  • Identify and develop future programs and/or initiatives that align with Social Impact and Community Engagement strategy and goals.
  • Lead retail operations collaboration for GTI's Social Impact programs including Round Up, First Day Profits, and Community Engagement.
  • Work with Government Affairs team to ensure compliance of all Social Impact-owned license commitments.
  • Build and lead community engagement programs (internal & external) and generate functional support.
  • Support Social Impact Report delivery, working with the Coordinator of Social Impact & Communications.
  • Facilitate communication and multi-channel promotion of all social impact and community engagement programs.
  • Collaborate with the Inclusion & Belonging steering committee to amplify I&B strategy through Social Impact programs.

Requirements

  • 5+ years managing Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives and running programs.
  • 3+ years project management experience in management consulting, operations, or high growth startup environments.
  • Communications/PR experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree, specialized training/education in CSR and Inclusion & Belonging preferred.
  • Experience implementing small and large-scale CSR and/or Community Engagement activities.
  • Experience in establishing and building partnerships with non-profit partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong communication abilities including presentation, verbal, and written skills.
  • Fluidity in social media.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-starter with a proven track record of results with a bias for action.
  • A passion for learning and a craving to make a difference!

  • Possesses a high level of critical thinking.
