About the position

WALRUS OIL® is a brand of wood care products based in Ozark, Missouri, and we are currently seeking a part-time Social Media Assistant Manager. The Social Media Assistant Manager will be responsible for managing and growing our social media accounts, including Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. This position requires creativity and a keen eye for design, as the individual will be tasked with creating and curating engaging content that resonates with our audience. This includes developing graphics, videos, and stories that align with our brand's voice and marketing initiatives. In addition to content creation, the Social Media Assistant Manager will oversee our influencer and affiliate programs, building strong partnerships that enhance our brand visibility and engagement. Engaging with our social media community is a crucial aspect of this role, as the individual will be responsible for responding to comments, direct messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Monitoring and analyzing social media trends and performance metrics will also be part of the job, allowing the individual to make data-driven decisions to improve our social media strategy. Collaboration with the marketing team is essential to execute brand initiatives effectively and ensure a cohesive brand presence across all platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow our social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok)
  • Create and curate engaging content, including graphics, videos, and stories

  • Engage with our social media community by responding to comments, DMs, and inquiries

Requirements

  • Experience with Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok
  • Customer service experience (responding to social media inquiries, comments, and messages)
  • Familiarity with design tools and creating aesthetically pleasing content
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Experience in marketing is encouraged
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
