The Social Media Community Associate will play a crucial role in building and nurturing Weedmaps' online community, particularly within the cannabis sector. This temporary position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in community management, focusing on engaging with cannabis communities across various social media platforms. The role is expected to average 20 hours per week over a period of five months, providing a flexible yet impactful work experience. In this position, you will assist in developing and implementing community engagement strategies that resonate with our audience. You will monitor and actively participate in relevant online discussions on assigned social platforms, ensuring that our community feels heard and valued. Your responsibilities will also include supporting the creation and curation of engaging content that drives community interactions, as well as managing and moderating community forums to maintain a positive and respectful environment. Collaboration is key in this role; you will work closely with internal teams to gather insights and feedback from the community, which will help shape our marketing, content, and social tactics. Additionally, you will track and analyze community engagement metrics, contributing to regular reporting to assess the effectiveness of our strategies. Responding to community inquiries and providing support under the guidance of the Community Manager will also be part of your daily tasks.
