About the position

L'Occitane En Provence is seeking a Social Media Community Coordinator to nurture and grow the ELEMIS community across various social media platforms. This role is integral to the Social Media team, requiring a blend of social media marketing expertise and community management skills. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional collaboration and communication abilities, working closely with the Marketing and PR teams to ensure a cohesive brand voice and responsiveness across all social platforms. The coordinator will be responsible for community management, acting as the primary relationship manager between the brand and its consumers. This includes engaging with the community through comments, direct messages, and mentions, while also managing social listening to gauge sentiment and engagement metrics. In this role, you will produce engaging content tailored for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook, with a particular focus on TikTok and Instagram Reels. You will assist the Social Media Manager with scheduling and posting, and may need to manage community interactions during weekends and holidays. The coordinator will also evaluate potential risks to the brand and identify opportunities for positive engagement, ensuring that community messaging aligns with customer needs and the brand ethos. Staying updated on social media trends and competitive landscapes is crucial, as is the ability to develop insightful reports on community engagement and sentiment. Additionally, the coordinator will contribute to the brand's sustainability goals, ensuring that all actions taken in this role support ELEMIS's commitment to climate, biodiversity, and people. Responsibilities

  • Own community relationships, communications and engagement across social media platforms, including comments, DMs, mentions, replies and community engagement.
  • Manage social listening, setting benchmarks on conversation engagement, sentiment, and other metrics to measure the effectiveness of content and campaigns.
  • Analyze community sentiment, engagement, and social listening via daily, weekly, and monthly community insights reports.
  • Produce responsive, engaging content across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Facebook, with emphasis on TikTok and IG Reels.
  • Assist Social Media Manager with social media scheduling and posting, as needed.
  • Evaluate and forecast potential risk to the brand, while also spotting opportunities for positive moments to amplify.
  • Identify viral moments in infancy, quickly sharing insights and recommendations for brand adaptation.
  • Create global community management guidelines, providing recommendations to local markets as needed.
  • Assist Social Media Manager in fostering relationships with content creators, while also spotting new content creators in the ELEMIS community.
  • Communicate customer suggestions and provide ideas for product improvement, along with expanding our community members base and generating community awareness.
  • Ensure our community messaging and responses are representative of the market, our customers' needs and our brand ethos.
  • Stay up to date and ahead of the curve on the latest social media trends, trending audios and memes.
  • Work closely with the social media Team for social campaign, trend, and content development ideation.
  • Develop competitive trend and research reports as needed.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in communications, marketing or business.
  • 1-3 years' experience in social media, community management, and content creation for a brand (in-house or agency).
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms (TikTok, IG, Facebook, YouTube), familiarity with newly emerging platforms like BeReal.
  • Proficiency in community management and social listening platforms (Dash Hudson, Emplifi, etc).
  • Detail-oriented, energetic, self-motivated, and results-oriented individual.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once and stay connected with the team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and highly organized.
  • Excellent written skills with the ability to write in professional, yet social-friendly language.
  • Strong time management and ability to work to set deadlines.
