About the position

PepsiCo is seeking a strategic and results-oriented Social Media Community Manager & Copywriter to join our dynamic in-house agency team, D3. This role can be based in Plano, TX, Chicago, IL, or New York and is integral to our mission of driving engagement and brand affinity through innovative social media strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the activation of our social media marketing efforts for iconic brands such as Doritos, Lay's, and Quaker across legacy channels like Instagram, Facebook, and X. This position requires a deep understanding of social media best practices, consumer engagement, and content creation, ensuring that our messaging resonates with our audience and aligns with brand objectives. In this role, you will support the development and implementation of social media communication strategies that enhance brand visibility and consumer interaction. You will lead community management efforts, delivering personalized consumer responses that foster brand loyalty. Additionally, you will conduct social listening to gain insights into consumer preferences and trends, which will inform our content strategy. Crafting engaging social media copy in English will be a key responsibility, as will staying updated on the latest trends in social media marketing. Collaboration is essential in this role, as you will work cross-functionally to ensure that social media programs are executed effectively while mitigating reputational risks. You will also support creative brainstorming sessions to develop monthly content calendars and contribute to social media analytics, generating reports that track performance and inform future strategies. Responsibilities

  • Support development and implementation of social media communication strategies in support of brand objectives
  • Lead social media community management, delivering 1:1 consumer response that builds brand affinity and drives engagement
  • Support ad hoc social listening to deepen consumer understanding around specific topics and deliver insightful point of view back to Brand Team
  • Support the development of original concepts designed to meet brand strategic objectives & brand standards across social channels
  • Craft engaging English language social media copy for legacy social channels including Instagram, X and Facebook
  • Stay informed of the latest social media related trends and best practices
  • Advocate for new ideas and approaches in support of continuous improvement / innovation
  • Collaborate cross-functionally within the organization to ensure necessary governance is in place to run social media programs and mitigate any undue reputational risk
  • Support creative brainstorms to inform monthly content calendars
  • Think creatively and translate those ideas into engaging pieces of digital content
  • Support social media analytics for assigned brands and contribute to report generation by team.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate Degree
  • 1-2 years of experience working client-side in marketing or related discipline, at an ad or media agency, media platform, or publisher
  • Strong consumer empathy & customer-centricity
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with others
  • Experience leading community management and creating compelling social media copy
  • Experience and strong understanding of the social media marketing landscape and growth of creator/influencer marketing
  • Experience managing influencer/creators to develop engaging social media content
  • Basic understanding of marketing strategy and ability to develop marketing tactics that deliver on brand objectives
  • Creative thinker who can bring a brand voice to life across a variety of social media touchpoints
  • Ability to think strategically, coupled with a pragmatic results orientation and proven track record of delivering strong tactical execution
  • Proven ability to develop cohesive brand social strategies and recommend supporting tactics
  • Ability to tell a story, synthesize and convey key messages in a dynamic and compelling way.
