About the position

The Social Media & Community Manager will be responsible for enhancing the company's social media presence and fostering community engagement, particularly among small business owners and accountants. This role involves creating tailored content for various social media platforms, managing online events, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather insights and feedback from the community. The position requires a blend of creativity, communication skills, and a strong understanding of social media trends to effectively engage the target audience.

Responsibilities

  • Craft compelling content for social media tailored to each platform's audience and engagement style.
  • Develop engaging content for accounting professionals to build community and encourage participation.
  • Support and manage online events such as webinars and virtual meetups to strengthen community ties.
  • Ensure consistency and approachability in communications across platforms and online groups.
  • Manage and monitor social media accounts, posting relevant content to enhance brand presence.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather insights and relay community feedback.
  • Track and analyze social engagement metrics to adapt content strategy.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in social media management and community-building.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a passion for content creation.
  • Experience creating content for online communities, especially for accounting and small business groups.
  • Strong knowledge of social media trends and management on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X.
  • Familiarity with online event coordination and management.
  • Experience using social media tools like Sprout and Canva.
  • Strong multitasking, time-management, and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with small businesses and accountants.
  • Familiarity with fintech or B2B tech industries.
  • Basic understanding of SEO and PPC.
