About the position

Sweet E's Bake Shop is a premier online bake shop in Los Angeles, California, known for our delicious and beautifully designed cakes, cookies, and desserts. Over the past 10 years, Sweet E's has evolved from a standalone bakery in Beverly Hills to an online luxury baking brand serving Los Angeles area clients with local catering and bakery products and delivering superb quality bakery goods shipped to customers across the United States. As Sweet E's firmly establishes itself as the leader in high-end bakery services in Los Angeles and an e-commerce leader in shipping luxury baked goods, we are seeking a part-time content creator that can actively capture and create content to be used on our social media channels and other marketing materials. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Social Media Manager to manage our Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok accounts. This is a part-time, remote position with a focus on content creation, social media management, and community engagement. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media trends, data-driven strategy, and a passion for the bakery and dessert industry. The role requires creating, scheduling, and posting content regularly, moderating comments, developing high-quality video content, and engaging with the community. The candidate will also collaborate with the leadership team to refine social media strategies and manage influencer relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Create, schedule, and post content to Sweet E's social media channels (primarily Instagram and Facebook) on a regular basis, Monday through Friday.
  • Develop, capture, edit and create high-quality video content at our Bake Shop, utilizing our kitchen environment as the stage for high-quality videos, gifs and still images across all platforms, including posts, stories, reels, and videos.
  • Plan and execute a monthly content calendar, ensuring consistent and timely posting across all platforms.
  • Monitor and engage with our community, responding to comments, messages, and tags daily.
  • Collaborate with the Sweet E's leadership team to refine our social media strategy, leveraging analytics to optimize performance and drive growth.
  • Manage relationships with influencers and coordinate product seeding campaigns to enhance brand visibility.
  • Analyze social media performance using data and analytics, creating and presenting monthly reports on key metrics such as fan growth, engagement, top-performing content, and audience demographics.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing social media accounts, preferably in the food or retail industry.
  • Strong creative skills with proficiency in content creation tools such as Canva, Photoshop, or similar software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in social media reporting and data analysis.
  • A new iPhone or other video equipment to capture mobile-ready content.
  • Understanding and skillfulness in using social media-focused editing software like Splice, TikTok editor, ViaMaker, BeeCut, Zoomerang, Quik, Magisto or others.
