About the position

The Social Media Content Creator (TikTok Specialist) at The Harlot is responsible for enhancing the salon's online presence, particularly on TikTok. This role involves creating engaging and visually appealing content that showcases the salon's services and culture, while also staying current with social media trends to attract and engage a community of hair enthusiasts.

Responsibilities

• Create and post original TikTok videos showcasing hair transformations, styling tips, tutorials, and salon events.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest TikTok trends and challenges to keep the salon's content fresh and engaging.
• Engage with followers by responding to comments and creating interactive content like polls and Q&As.
• Ensure consistent representation of the salon's brand across all content, maintaining a cohesive aesthetic.
• Collaborate with stylists and staff to highlight their expertise and creativity through engaging content.
• Develop and implement a content calendar for regular postings, aligning with salon promotions and campaigns.
• Monitor performance of TikTok videos and analyze trends to adjust content strategies for maximum engagement.

Requirements

• Proven experience in creating viral TikTok videos or strong knowledge of TikTok trends and best practices.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, creative salon environment.
• Passion for beauty, hair styling, and the latest trends in fashion and social media.
• Strong communication skills, both written and visual.
• Ability to shoot, edit, and post content quickly without sacrificing quality, with experience in video editing software like Adobe Premiere, CapCut, or Final Cut Pro being a plus.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Experience with other social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook) is a plus.
