About the position

AK Social House is seeking a versatile and skilled Social Media Content Creator to enhance clients' podcast reach through real-time promotion and strategic content repurposing. This role focuses on driving audience engagement and visibility by producing engaging posts, visually appealing designs, and branded content that reflects each client's identity across various platforms including YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.

Responsibilities

  • Create and post content in sync with weekly podcast episode releases, developing short clips, audiograms, quotes, and teasers.
  • Strategically repurpose key moments from podcast episodes into diverse content formats to extend promotional efforts throughout the week.
  • Produce various content types, including carousels, audiograms, B-roll footage, and video teasers, tailored for specific social media platforms.
  • Write captivating, on-brand captions that highlight episode content and drive engagement.
  • Identify and extract impactful short segments from podcast episodes for cross-platform use.
  • Create high-quality graphics, including YouTube banners, thumbnails, and podcast covers, that align with each client's brand identity.
  • Ensure visually compelling thumbnails, banners, and cover art for platforms like YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.
  • Maintain a cohesive feed design for each client across social media channels.
  • Develop compelling captions that drive engagement and align with each episode's themes.
  • Customize content to perform optimally on various social media platforms.
  • Plan and schedule real-time and repurposed content weekly, coordinating closely with the podcast production team.
  • Monitor social media channels and respond to comments, messages, and interactions to foster a community around each podcast.
  • Stay current with social media and design trends, introducing fresh ideas that keep content engaging and relevant.
  • Track performance metrics for content, using insights to refine strategies and optimize future promotional efforts.
  • Work with the podcast production team to identify highlights and critical themes for social media promotion.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in graphic and video design tools such as Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Final Cut Pro, and Canva.
  • Strong writing skills for creating engaging, on-brand captions and social media copy.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and X (formerly Twitter).
  • Proficiency in basic video editing for short-form content creation.
  • Ability to design eye-catching thumbnails, YouTube banners, podcast covers, and other assets.
  • Ability to identify and extract impactful short segments from long-form content.
  • Strong sense of visual branding and design to maintain a cohesive feed layout.
  • Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and managing content weekly.
  • Skilled in engaging with followers through comments, messages, and responses.
  • Experience with analytics tools to monitor performance and adapt strategies.

Nice-to-haves
