About the position

The Social Media Content Creator position is a part-time, remote role focused on producing engaging video content for a cutting-edge fintech organization that leverages blockchain technology to democratize the global economy. This role is integral to the company's social media team, which serves as an organic growth engine and a center of excellence for digital experiences and content strategy. The Social Media Content Creator will be responsible for concepting and producing video content primarily for the company's TikTok channel, with a focus on point-of-sale (POS) hardware. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling and 'edutainment', creating content that builds brand awareness and affinity among new audiences. In this role, the Social Media Content Creator will film and edit 2-4 short form videos per week, acting as a representative on the company's social channels. The position may require occasional travel, approximately once per quarter, to conduct on-camera seller interviews for social media. Collaboration with leads and content managers both in the U.S. and internationally will be essential, as the candidate will assist in content ideation, research, and scripting. Additionally, the role involves writing captions that align with the company's editorial and tone of voice guidelines, analyzing social media analytics to assess content performance, and brainstorming new ideas to engage audiences and exceed performance goals.

Responsibilities

  • Film and edit 2-4 short form, hardware-centric videos per week for TikTok.
  • Act as a 'face' on the company's owned social channels.
  • Potential for occasional travel (~1/quarter) to conduct on-camera seller interviews for social media.
  • Collaborate with leads and content managers in the U.S. and internationally to develop content from ideation to execution.
  • Assist in content concepting, research, and scripting.
  • Write captions in accordance with editorial and tone of voice guides.
  • Analyze social analytics to evaluate content performance against OKRs and brainstorm ideas to engage new audiences.

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience with video editing and dedicated social publishing.
  • Fluency in the native tools within TikTok and Instagram.
  • Proficiency in basic video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere/Rush, Capcut, and Figma.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools and translating performance metrics into actionable insights.
  • Working knowledge of social advertising and aligning organic and paid strategies.
  • Attention to detail in content creation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge or familiarity with Google Suite and Asana.
