About the position

Melon Local is seeking a forward-thinking Social Media Content Creator with exceptional writing skills and a passion for building an engaging social media presence. This role is based at the company's headquarters in Las Vegas and involves leading content creation efforts while collaborating with the social media department to ensure high-quality output. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fun and inclusive environment, focusing on delivering results for clients in the insurance sector across the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Develop and curate engaging content for social media platforms: FB, LI and IG
• Collaborate with social media coordinator to create a social media calendar
• Proofread - check and double check for errors
• Curate and manage social media content for our clients
• Upload content to internal review platform for admin and client approval
• Assist in the creation and editing of written, video and photo content
• Maintain unified brand voice across different social media channels
• Monitor social media channels for industry trends
• Interact with users and respond to social media messages, inquiries and comments
• Review analytics and create reports on key metrics
• Lift 15-30 lbs whenever necessary
• Participate in social media photo and video shoots
• Sit for extended periods of time

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, social media management, communications or related field preferred, but not required
• Minimum of 2 years experience with B2C social media management or content creation
• Experience with copywriting is a MUST
• Experience working at a Marketing Agency is a HUGE plus
• Experience with Canva or other content design software is a MUST
• Experience using social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprinklr, SOCi, etc) is a MUST
• Experience using project management tools (Monday, Trello, Basecamp, etc) is a HUGE plus
• Experience with Facebook Ads (Meta Business Suite) is a HUGE plus
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and Zoom is crucial
• Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Premier Pro) or equivalent digital media editing tools is a HUGE plus
• Experience using G-Suite products is a HUGE plus
• Excellent social listening skills
• Ability to understand historical, current, and future trends in the digital content and social media space
• Strong copywriting and copy editing skills
• Top-notch communication skills
• Impeccable time management skills with the ability to multitask
• Detail-oriented approach with ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
