About the position

The Social Media Content Creator at Dartmouth Building Supply is responsible for producing visually engaging content that showcases the company's products in the context of kitchen and bath design as well as lumber and building materials. This role involves collaborating with the sales team to capture real-time content from job sites, highlighting the transformation of spaces and the craftsmanship involved in using quality lumber. The ideal candidate will have a creative mindset and a strong interest in both the lumber industry and interior design, aiming to elevate the brand's presence across various social media platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute content plans across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube).
  • Capture and create engaging visual content, including photos, videos, stories, and reels.
  • Produce educational content that demonstrates the relationship between quality lumber, construction, and interior design.
  • Join the sales team to visit job sites and capture real-time content.
  • Interview customers and document their design journeys to create engaging before-and-after stories.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in home design and the lumber industry.
  • Analyze content performance across platforms and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand messaging and maintains a consistent voice.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Content Creator, Social Media Manager, or similar role.
  • Graphic Design Experience is preferred.
  • Copyright Experience is preferred.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with photo and video editing software (Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, Canva, etc.).
  • Willingness to travel to job sites for content capture.
