About the position

The Social Media & Content Curator at Canyon Country LA (CCLA) plays a pivotal role in shaping the social media presence and content strategies for a diverse range of clients. This position is hybrid, requiring attendance at the Canyon Country LA office 1-2 days per week, and reports directly to the Agency Operations. The primary objective of this role is to oversee social media, content, and influencer strategies, ensuring that all activities align with the clients' goals and brand aesthetics. The Social Media & Content Curator will manage client relationships and lead content creation efforts across multiple platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook. In this role, the curator will develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies, manage digital ad spend, and analyze campaign performance metrics to optimize return on investment (ROI). They will also be responsible for content scheduling and management, ensuring timely and consistent posting that reflects the clients' brand identities. Collaboration with the Agency Director is essential to ensure cohesive and strategic social media execution. The position also involves leading the creation of engaging content, particularly for TikTok and Instagram, and writing compelling copy for various digital platforms. The curator will coordinate influencer campaigns, working closely with the Influencer Relations Lead to handle logistics and monitor influencer content submissions. Additionally, they will provide clients with detailed reports on campaign performance, conduct audience retention checks, and maintain clear communication with clients regarding their objectives and campaign progress. Fostering a collaborative team environment is crucial, as the curator will manage interns and encourage creative problem-solving. The ideal candidate will possess strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, creativity, and a dedication to client satisfaction, ensuring that all social media and influencer strategies are effectively executed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies for clients across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook.
  • Manage digital ad spend to optimize ROI, regularly analyzing and adjusting campaigns based on performance metrics.
  • Oversee content scheduling and management, ensuring timely and consistent posting that aligns with clients' brand identities.
  • Collaborate closely with the Agency Director to ensure cohesive and strategic social media execution.
  • Lead the creation of engaging and innovative content, particularly for TikTok, Instagram stories, reels, and grids.
  • Write compelling and brand-appropriate copy for social media posts, ads, and other digital content.
  • Ensure all content meets high standards of quality and resonates with the target audience.
  • Work closely with the Influencer Relations Lead to coordinate influencer campaigns, handling logistics, and addressing any potential queries.
  • Monitor and track influencer content, ensuring timely submissions and alignment with contract stipulations.
  • Catalog received influencer content, maintaining an organized and up-to-date content library.
  • Assist in drafting and finalizing influencer contracts, managing paperwork and administrative tasks related to influencer collaborations.
  • Monitor and analyze social media and influencer campaign performance metrics, providing clients with detailed reports that highlight successes and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct monthly audience retention checks, using insights to refine and optimize content strategies.
  • Collate influencer performance metrics and assist in analyzing engagement data to inform future campaign improvements.
  • Engage with clients to understand their objectives and integrate their needs into actionable social media and influencer strategies.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, providing regular updates on social media performance and campaign progress.
  • Coordinate with clients for product send-outs related to influencer campaigns and manage the receipt process, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Foster a collaborative environment within the team, encouraging innovation and creative problem-solving.
  • Manage interns by assigning tasks, approving work, and providing feedback as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Digital Media, Communication, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in social media management.
  • Proven experience in content creation, particularly for TikTok and Instagram.
  • Hands-on experience with social media advertising and analytics tools.
  • Experience in influencer coordination and campaign management.
  • Strong copywriting skills and a deep understanding of social media trends.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms and content management systems.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, etc.).
