As the Social Media Content Manager at the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), you will play a pivotal role in shaping the college's online presence and enhancing its reputation through strategic content development. Your primary responsibility will be to create engaging content that reflects SCAD's brand values, showcasing the college's strong relationships with leading employers, talented students and alumni, expert faculty, and dedicated career advisers. You will highlight the unique career resources available at SCAD, such as SCADpro, SCADamp, internships, and signature events, while also emphasizing the personalized career coaching and support provided to every SCAD Bee. In this role, you will be tasked with producing timely content that includes relevant mentions and tags, aimed at elevating SCAD's reputation and increasing its followers and engagement across various social media platforms. You will attend key employer visits and events to generate content, capturing photos, videos, and quotes that resonate with the audience. Additionally, you will identify new potential content partners to collaborate with, producing content that appeals to diverse audiences. Your efforts will also involve providing supporting assets to career advisers and industry specialists to amplify their voices and enhance the visibility of SCAD's career services. You will be responsible for creating Instagram reels, stories, and highlights, while actively managing social communities by following key influencers and industry leaders, and responding to comments. Managing the LinkedIn alumni group will also be part of your duties, connecting followers to relevant career services and fielding requests in a timely manner. You will support and share relevant content from SCAD alumni and employer accounts, focusing on industry connections, job opportunities, and alumni recognition. Sharing accolades of alumni and students on Instagram and in newsletters, particularly those featuring well-known companies and high-profile awards, will be essential to your role. Furthermore, you will recommend strategies to cross-promote social media with newsletters and other digital media, leveraging social media and paid promotions to target student and alumni populations effectively. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to measure social media outcomes in terms of engagement and reach, and should be comfortable with limited travel for industry events or when hosting alumni and industry guests. This position requires a proactive approach to content creation and community engagement, ensuring that SCAD's online presence is vibrant and reflective of its values and achievements.
