About the position

The Social Media & Content Marketing Manager at the Pat Tillman Foundation is responsible for creating and managing engaging content across various social media and digital platforms. This role aims to amplify the Foundation's mission and impact, focusing on empowering military veterans and their families. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and creative storyteller, passionate about the Foundation's values and mission.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content calendar aligned with the Foundation's strategic goals.
  • Write compelling blog posts, articles, website copy, social media updates, and newsletters.
  • Research and interview scholars, staff, and partners to gather inspiring stories.
  • Develop and execute a social media strategy to expand the Foundation's online presence.
  • Manage and create engaging content across various platforms, including written, visual, and video content.
  • Collaborate with designers, videographers, and other creative professionals to produce high-quality content.
  • Ensure consistent branding, messaging, and tone across all content channels.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging platforms.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing, social media management, or a related field.
  • Portfolio showcasing writing, content creation, and social media management expertise.
  • Strong understanding of content marketing principles, strategies, and metrics.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, content management systems (CMS), and email marketing tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Passion for the Pat Tillman Foundation's mission and values.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations or veteran-serving organizations.
