As a Social Media Content Moderator, your mission is to review and moderate submissions on a popular social media platform. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and comfort of users by removing content that violates community guidelines and policies. This position requires a high level of engagement and professionalism, as you will be the human element in the moderation process, making decisions that impact the community's experience on the platform. In this role, you will be responsible for navigating through various submissions, utilizing your strong computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications. You will need to demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as exceptional listening and comprehension abilities. The ability to react quickly and effectively to potentially graphic and disturbing content is essential, as is a keen attention to detail and a fast learning ability. You will be expected to work a full-time schedule within our 24/7 hours of operation, adapting to business needs as they arise. The work environment is a climate-controlled call center, where you will be engaged in constant sedentary work. You will have access to on-site amenities such as a coffee and snack bar, a 24-hour gym, and recreational activities like shuffleboard and air hockey. Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Strong computer navigational skills.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional listening and comprehension skills.
  • Professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Good understanding of social media pop culture.
  • Proven experience in overcoming unexpected difficulties and using logical problem-solving skills.
