About the position

As a Social Media Coordinator at Spark, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our clients' social media presence and engagement. This position is designed for individuals who are not only passionate about social media but also possess a deep understanding of its algorithms and trends. You will be responsible for developing and executing a results-driven strategy that aligns with our clients' branding and customer acquisition goals. Your expertise will help in analyzing engagement data, identifying trends in customer interactions, and supporting the development of social content strategies. You will also plan and execute digital campaigns aimed at building online communities and fostering brand loyalty. In this role, you will manage multiple editorial and content calendars, ensuring that all social content is consistent with brand messaging, tone, and voice. You will be expected to recommend creative solutions that enhance our clients' social media presence and assist in the creation and editing of various content types, including written, video, and photo content. Monitoring social media channels for industry trends will be a key part of your responsibilities, allowing you to make informed recommendations for adjustments based on changing market dynamics. Your role will also involve direct communication with fans and followers, adhering to brand-specific protocols for moderation and resolution. You will take the lead in utilizing analytics and listening tools to create comprehensive reports that reflect social media performance, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to continuously improve content strategies. Additionally, you will contribute to new business efforts by conducting research, creating presentations, and brainstorming innovative ideas. This position requires a proactive self-starter who can effectively coordinate with team members and manage remote work dynamics while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate development of strategy and execute a results-driven strategy for client social presence, supporting Social Media Manager
  • Manage multiple editorial and content calendars to create social content that is in-line with brand messaging, tone, and voice
  • Recommend creative for clients that adheres to brand identity and up-levels social media
  • Assist in the creation and editing of written, video and photo content for client channels as needed
  • Monitor social media channels for industry trends and make recommendations for changes as dictated by changing industry
  • Maintain a unified brand voice across different social media channels
  • Proficient in Canva, able to create social media graphics for clients when needed at a high level
  • Communicate with fans and followers, adhering to brand-specific protocols as it relates to moderation, escalation, and resolution
  • Take the lead in analytics and listening tools (Google Analytics, SEMRush & Meltwater) to create reports for clients reflecting Social Media performance
  • Track Social Media KPIs monthly and analyze performance against top marketing goals to improve the content strategy
  • Contribute to new business efforts for Spark including research, creating slides, and brainstorming new ideas
  • Successfully manage remote work, scheduling, and internal communications (email, Slack, team meetings, etc)
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
  • Proactive self-starter who offers ideas and/or problem solves alongside the team
  • Effectively coordinate and work both up and down within teams
  • Attend trainings and workshops; eager to learn
  • Track client billable time daily

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 2-3 years of experience in social media
  • Proficient in Meltwater
  • Understanding of content distribution channels for B2B and B2C brands and their associated metrics, specs, best practices, and requirements
  • Expertise in and enthusiasm for social media and community building online
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, market trends, best practices, content development and metrics, and tools of the trade
  • Proven competency in taking client needs and creating successful social media strategies and campaigns
  • Previous proven experience managing content and copy for a range of online mediums
  • Strong creative writing, researching, and editing skills
  • Willingness to handle executional work like ongoing content development and community management
  • Flexibility and comfort working with a remote team in a fast-paced, always-on, agency/start-up environment and schedule
  • Superb project and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining constant communication with larger team and clients
