About the position

The Social Media Coordinator at Wild Oak Academy is responsible for managing and enhancing the online presence of three childcare centers through creative content creation and community engagement. This role requires a blend of creativity, organization, and self-motivation to effectively showcase the centers' activities and culture across various social media platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, curate, and publish engaging content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Capture authentic moments at each location through onsite visits to create high-quality, visually appealing content.
  • Write compelling captions and posts that align with the brand voice and values.
  • Plan and execute a content calendar that reflects the unique character of each center while maintaining cohesive branding.
  • Monitor trends in social media and childcare-related content to keep accounts fresh and engaging.
  • Collaborate with center directors and staff to identify stories and events to highlight.
  • Respond to comments, messages, and reviews promptly to foster relationships with families and followers.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to improve engagement and reach.
  • Ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone across all platforms.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold privacy standards, especially when working with images of children.

Requirements

  • Proven experience managing social media accounts for a business or organization, preferably in education, childcare, or a related field.
  • Strong writing, photography, and videography skills with an eye for detail and creativity.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms, scheduling tools, and basic graphic design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Spark).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Access to reliable transportation and flexibility to travel between locations as required.
  • Enthusiastic about working in a childcare environment and passionate about storytelling.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with social media analytics and reporting.
  • Knowledge of SEO and social media advertising.
  • Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Rush, iMovie).
